He's been wanting to sell his home since 2007, originally listing the property for million.

But the Malibu mansion - which David Spade purchased on May 20, 2005 for .3 million - hasn't been that great of an investment.

It's taken over six years for the 49-year-old comedian to close out his 3763 sqft beachfront property, finally releasing it for ,225,000, reported Trulia.

It's about time! David Spade has finally sold his Malibu mansion for ,225,000

He must be happy! It's been six years since Spade originally listed him home in 2007

It's certainly been a process.

After no bites from the original listing in 2007, the Grown Ups actor de-listed the 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom abode, deciding to lease it out for the time being instead.

Realising he needed to drop the asking price, Spade re-listed the home on the Pacific Coast Highway in December 2011 for .5 million.

Luxury location: The private property is located on the famous Pacific Coast Highway

Additional features: The abode even has a secluded pool in the back

The new owners only paid 5,000 more than the former Just Shoot Me star for the La Costa Beach abode that features a private patio and pool.

And they're the the ones reaping the benefits, as Spade modernised the home over the years, giving it a newer bulkhead and foundation and luxurious accents.

Features include high ceilings, shiny wood floors, brick fireplaces, and balconies overlooking the beach.

Beach access: The Malibu property has access to the lovely La Costa Beach

Classic touches: The home features sparkling hardwood floors and brick fireplaces

But Spade hasn't lost his Los Angeles roots, still owning a home in Beverly Hills - that he purchased on December 7, 2011.

The million pad in the Trousdale Estates was previously occupied by Eddie Murphy and Warren Beatty.

Room for guests: The four-bedroom home has a private patio with plenty of space for having an outdoor gathering
